There are two ways to limit offered colours by updating predecorated product colours – during decorated product creation and by editing a created product. Where the colour selection happens is in the same place in the workflow, so we’ll just use an already-created product for this description:
- Select ‘Decorated Products’ from the dashboard menu on the left part of the screen visible after login.
- Navigate to the product you wish to edit and from the blue ‘Manage’ drop-down, select ‘Edit Decoration’.
- The Designer window will open. Click ‘Save & Continue’ at the bottom of the window.
- The description page will open next. Click ‘Save & Continue’ at the bottom of the window.
- The next page shows the selected blank product(s). It’s on this page where you can change the primary display colour by clicking on the desired colour. You can also tick (or untick) desired colours, deselect all or select all. Here’s an image of what that looks like:
- Best practice is to deselect all and then select just the colours you intend. If you need to deselect the display colour, choose a different display colour (highlighted in blue), then un-tick it. When done, click ‘Save & Continue’ at the bottom of the page.
- A modal box will come up to let you know that the changes are being processed and when done, click ‘Continue’.
- The display will now change to a product summary. Click ‘Save’ at the bottom of this window. (Clicking ‘Cancel’ will abandon changes.)
- Check your changes by going back to the decorated products page, locating the product you just edited, going to the ‘Manage’ pull-down, and clicking ‘View’.
- This next window will show you how the product will appear to your audience. Here’s how the edited product above appears in a browser window: https://altademo.secure-decoration.com/shop/view_product/19287996/True-Crime-Podcast-Team-Cap. It takes a few steps, but once you’re used to updating predecorated product colours, creating new and additional products will be a breeze.
