There are a lot of products you can decorated and deploy in your shop. Here’s how to do it.

First, log in to your affiliate site. You would have created a login name and password at the start. (If you need this reset, just let us know.)

Once logged into the site, you’ll see your ‘dashboard’ page. On the left-hand part of the screen, click on ‘Decorated Products’. Assuming you haven’t created any products yet, you’ll see this:

Well, duh, software, we know that we haven’t created any decorated products yet! So, what’s next? Click on ‘Decorated Products’. You will now be prompted to look at the catalog to select a blank product, which looks like this:

Unlike other so-called POD suppliers, we offer access to everything we have access to as blank product on which you can build. However, the most popular tee shirts amongst creators are the Gildan 5000, Port & Company Core tee and Hanes 5250. We strongly recommend you chat us up to discover what will work best for your fan base. For the purposes of this tutorial, select the first tee shown, highlighted by the blue box. Click ‘Save & Continue’.

Next, you’ll see the Designer module where you can set up your art on the garment. Click on the “Add Design” button to upload your art.

Your art should be PDF or PNG with transparent background at 300 dpi at the size the art will print. If it isn’t, the software will warn you (see the orange area in the image below). If you need help fixing your artwork, ask us!

We’re going to keep going for the purpose of demonstration. Click ‘Save & Continue’.

The next screen allows you to enter all of the product details, including ‘Name’, or what you want to title the product, a snazzy description (note the formatting options in that edit box) and Category. Setting the category allows you to define how the products will be sorted and displayed to a visitor. If no categories exist yet, name one in the box next to ‘New Category’, and it’ll be added automatically. Finally, pull down the ‘Don’t allow users to customize’ for the moment. Then, click ‘Save & Continue’.

The next screen will allow you to select colors to offer with your artwork. Be sure to only select garment colors that will complement your artwork. We recommended sticking to 5 to 6 colors on offer to avoid driving visitors into option paralysis when choosing a product. Black, Dark Heather, Royal Blue, Red and Military Green are all popular colors, not forgetting White, but review the colors you’ve selected after completing the product set-up. You can always change this later.

The next screen allows you to set the selling price. Typically, creators sell tee between $23 and $28. In this next screen, uncheck “Use Default” and in the box to the right, enter the Retail Price you want to use. In this example, we’ll use $23.95.

That’s it – your first product is created. A time-saving tip is if you’re going to use the same base product but change the graphics, click the ‘Manage’ drop-down and click ‘Clone’. This will make a copy of the configuration of the product and all you have to do is edit the decoration and description, and a new product is born!

Remember, if you need help, drop a word to your CSR and you will be helped!
